A major development has come to light in the massive explosion case that took place in Sunderpada on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. CCTV footage of the blast that took place in Sundarpada on the evening of 27 January has surfaced, which has clearly shown the intensity of the blast. It can be seen in the footage that the explosion was so powerful that a strong shock was felt in the surrounding area and people came out of their homes in panic.

4 people seriously burnt in the blast

According to the information, the blast occurred when explosive material was being made on the roof of a house. A total of 4 people were seriously injured in this sudden explosion. All the injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. Two people died during treatment. The condition of the rest is said to be serious.

DCP Jagmohan Meena, who reached the spot on the day of the incident, had said that the main accused Shahnawaz Malik was injured. He has a criminal record. Seeing this incident, it is clear that these people were making explosives here to commit some crime. This explosion occurred while making explosives. 4 people have been injured due to the blast. Shahnawaz Malik, his mother, his sister and one of his friends Amit Ranjan Malik were injured in the blast. Everyone was sent to Capital Hospital. After first aid he was sent to a private hospital.

Death of main accused Shahnawaz and his mother

In the house where the blast took place, a notorious criminal Shahnawaz was already living there. Shahnawaz and his mother were also seriously injured in this blast. The main accused Shahnawaz alias Muffi died during treatment on February 4. While his mother died on 10 February. They suffered severe burn injuries and died during treatment in the hospital. Many criminal cases were already registered against Shahnawaz. About 7 cases including Attempt to Murder, Illegal Firearm Possession were registered against Shahnawaz in different police stations.

NIA team collected samples

Seeing the seriousness of the blast, NIA also entered the matter and started investigation. The NIA team reached the spot and collected samples of soil and debris from there, so that through forensic investigation it could be found out what type of explosive was used.

The inquiry will take place after the rest of the injured recover.

Four people were injured in this case, out of which Shahnawaz and his mother have died, while the condition of the remaining two people is still said to be critical. When the remaining injured people recover, they will be interrogated. Through this inquiry, an attempt will be made to find out who else were involved in making illegal bombs and what was the motive behind it.

Is there any big network in this matter?

This investigation is indicating that this case may not just be a simple criminal incident, but there may also be a bigger network or conspiracy behind it. However, no official statement has been issued by the investigating agencies yet.
