As the counting of votes for the Bihar assembly elections is underway, the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) alliance led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is heading towards a ‘sling’ of power with a clear majority. Voters in Bihar have once again backed Nitish Kumar’s administration. The NDA alliance has crossed the majority line and maintained a strong lead. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) (JDU) emerged as the single largest party in the alliance in this election. The JDU overtook the BJP and secured a strong lead in around 73 constituencies. This result makes it clear that CM Nitish Kumar’s charisma is back in Bihar. It is almost certain that he will once again be fixed at the helm of power as Chief Minister.
In the results of the Bihar assembly elections, the national party Congress (Congress) has once again faced a huge embarrassment. According to the Election Commission, the Congress party is struggling to even cross the double-digit margin. Congress’ chief campaigner Rahul Gandhi’s rallies and campaigning in Bihar seems to have completely failed to win the hearts of the Bihari voters. Recently, the ‘Vote Chor’ campaign, which was carried out by the Congress party vigorously against ‘vote theft’ across the country, gave hope of winning this election, but this campaign has failed to have any positive effect on the ground of Bihar. With this dismal result, the Congress party has stumbled in another important election.
Chief ministerial candidate of Bihar Mahaghatabandhan, RJD chief Tejaswi Yadav has faced a heavy setback in the initial rounds of election vote counting. The setback occurred in Raghopura, a crucial constituency contested by Tejaswi Yadav, where BJP’s Satish Kumar, who is contesting against him, has taken a strong lead. Tejashwi Yadav is trailing by more than 1,200 votes.

The opposition parties Mahaghatabandhan alliance suffered a severe setback by leading in only 46 seats.. NDA – 190, MGB – 46, JSP – 0, OTH – 2 seats leading.
The pair of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has once again done well in the Bihar assembly elections. The NDA alliance won a landslide victory with a clear majority, with Bihari voters hailing CM Nitish Kumar’s charisma and good governance. Celebrations at the Janata Dal party headquarters in Patna reached a climax.
