Yumnam Khemchand has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Manipur.
Manipur CM Oath Ceremony: NDA government has once again been formed in Manipur. The Chief Minister of this new government is Yumnam Khemchand. He was administered the oath today (Wednesday) by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla. Also, Kuki BJP MLA Nemcha Kipgen took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur through virtual medium. Meanwhile, Naga People’s Front MLA L. Dikho was also sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. Apart from this, BJP’s Govindas Konthoujam and NPP’s K. Loken Singh has been made minister. The Governor administered him the oath of office and secrecy.
Yumnam Khemchand now gets command of Manipur
Let us tell you that a few hours after the removal of President’s rule from Manipur, the swearing-in ceremony took place at ‘Lok Bhawan’ in Imphal. Restless Manipur was under President’s rule since February last year. Many BJP MLAs, senior party officials and top NDA leadership attended this swearing-in ceremony. Now Yumnam Khemchand along with two deputies has been made the Chief Minister and given the command of Manipur.

Beginning of new chapter in Manipur
On this occasion, Manipur BJP posted on Twitter, ‘A new chapter has begun for Manipur as Y Khemchand Singh has taken oath as the Chief Minister at Lok Bhawan today. This oath was administered to him by Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla. On this occasion, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Sambit Patra, Manipur BJP President Sharda Devi, senior party leaders and officials were present.
Khemchand was elected leader in the legislative party meeting.
Let us know that today itself Y Khemchand Singh had presented his claim to form the government in Manipur in front of Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla. The NDA delegation led by him had met the Governor at Lok Bhawan in Imphal. The delegation that met also included two MLAs from Kuki dominated districts of Churachandpur and Ferjaul. Earlier on Tuesday, BJP Legislature Party leader was elected in New Delhi and then NDA Legislature Party leader Y Khemchand Singh was elected.
