New Delhi: Youth Congress workers protested on Friday at the India AI Impact Summit organized in the capital Delhi. They took off their shirts and raised slogans against the central government. The protesters said the demonstration was against the trade agreement with the US, leading to disruption in one of the summit halls at the Bharat Mandapam.
Youth Congress performed shirtless
According to eyewitnesses, chaos broke out during the morning session when protesters stood up and started raising slogans, attracting the attention of delegates and officials. Security personnel were seen trying to control the situation as the Congressmen expressed their objections.
4 accused arrested
The protest took place on the final day of the five-day summit, where global leaders and technology experts have gathered to discuss the future of AI. Delhi Police said that legal action is being taken in the matter. 4 accused have been arrested in this case. Everyone will be presented in Patiala House Court today itself. Delhi Police is imposing many serious sections in the FIR. The accused also scuffled with the police. Now Delhi Police is investigating a larger conspiracy in this case.
Congress heavily criticized on internet
There has been a sharp reaction on social media on this act of Congress workers. Internet users described the “shameless” act as an attempt to insult the country on the global stage. Many people said that action should be taken against those involved in this act which tarnishes the image of India.
‘Shameless, rude, ignorant’
One user wrote, “This is shameless misbehavior, ignorance and also an attempt to insult the country. Youth Congress workers are half-naked and protesting against Modi ji at the AI Summit. Have the roads of the country become less??? Or is it not an agenda but just a defamation???”
are defaming India
Another user said, “In the AI Summit, they did not succeed in defaming India on social media. So now by going to Bharat Mandapam itself, the workers of “Youth Congress” are creating drama and defaming India. Such action should be taken against them so that all this ghost of their anti-nationalism goes away.” Apart from this, a third user said, “You can protest policies. You can question the leadership. But embarrassing the country in front of global representatives? This is not activism – it is insecurity.”
BJP fiercely attacked Congress
BJP’s information technology department head Amit Malviya strongly criticized the Congress for the protests, calling it a “national disgrace” and said the party should be ashamed. He said, at a time when India is hosting a prestigious global AI summit and showcasing its innovation and leadership in the field of technology, the Congress party chose disruption over dignity. Congress workers, led by Rahul Gandhi, created a ruckus by stripping naked at the summit venue, an act clearly aimed at embarrassing India on the world stage. When the country is attempting to establish itself as a global technology superpower, such conduct only serves the interests of those who want to see India falter. Political protest is a democratic right, but tarnishing India’s global image is not appropriate. India deserves better than this.”
Defense Minister said- ‘An attempt to tarnish the image of India’
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “When the entire world was watching India hosting the AI Impact Summit held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and witnessing our growing global leadership in the field of technology and innovation, at that time the Congress chose to create disruption in the event instead of increasing the honor of the country. The shameful manner in which the Youth Congress workers created a ruckus by behaving inappropriately at the venue is not only unfortunate, but will also tarnish India’s reputation at the international level. But I condemn this act of Congress. Whenever India moves ahead, it seems to give priority to political gains over the prestige and honor of the country. The people of India understand very well who is trying to tarnish the image of India.
‘Congress leaders did disgusting work’: CM Yogi
CM Yogi also reacted to Youth Congress workers in Bharat Mandapam. Taking aim at the Congress, he said, ‘Youth Congress leaders did a very disgusting thing in Bharat Mandapam. These people bargain at the cost of the country. Today, Congress spread anarchy in Bharat Mandapam, a shameful incident was done by Congress, an attempt was made by Congress to tarnish the image of India.
Rahul Gandhi created ruckus: Manjinder Singh Sirsa
Apart from this, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that this act of Congress workers has tarnished the image of India and said that this uproar was created by Rahul Gandhi. He said, “The protest that Rahul Gandhi ji organized today at the AI Summit with the Indian National Youth Congress, in which he took off his clothes and performed ‘Nanga Nacha’ in front of foreign guests, is very shameful. Protesting is a different thing. But such a protest in which one’s country is being belittled, the image of one’s country is being tarnished? This poor mentality is only with the Congress. Today, the Gandhi family must think about how far they have fallen, that today They have forgotten how the honor of the country should be in front of foreign guests. I strongly condemn such poor type of protest.”
