Semiconductor Mission Launch: Semiconductor Mission has been launched in Noida, UP. On this occasion, PM Modi said through video conferencing that Noida will become a semiconductor powerhouse. Establishment of HCL-Foxconn Semiconductor Facility in Uttar Pradesh is an important step towards technological self-reliance. This will strengthen India’s presence in the global chip ecosystem. India is moving rapidly towards the goal of development

PM Modi said, ‘Today India is working very fast on the goal of development and I have also said from the Red Fort that India does not have time to stop or slow down. From the beginning of the year 2026, India has increased its pace. Lakhs of youth of the country joined the Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue on January 12. On 16th January we celebrated National Startup Day. Gave new energy to India’s startup revolution.

The world saw the potential of India’s AI

Prime Minister Modi further said, ‘Now this week is also proving to be historic for India. In the Global AI Impact Summit, heads of state of many countries of the world and giants of the technology world were all gathered in Delhi. In this summit, the world saw India’s AI potential, understood and appreciated the vision. This summit ended yesterday itself and now here we are becoming a part of such a big program related to India’s semiconductor ecosystem.

Big center of Semiconductor Ecosystem will be built in India

He said that today India is working together on both Software and Hardware aspects. It is a matter of pride for all of us that Uttar Pradesh is also going to become a big center of India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem. This new factory of HCL and Foxconn will further strengthen UP’s new identity as a technology powerhouse.

India has to be made self-reliant in chip matters

PM Modi said, ‘India has to be made self-reliant in chip manufacturing. For this, Semiconductor Ecosystem has to be created in India. A democratic country like India is a reliable partner of the world. India’s increasing participation in any value chain will only increase its resilience.

‘Make in India’ emerged as a strong brand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘In the last 11 years, India has shown again and again that we can achieve whatever we set out to do. A few years ago, when the country took the pledge of Make in India, some people had expressed doubts and apprehensions. But today Make in India has emerged as a strong brand.
