Taking a big decision, the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC) in Uttarakhand has said that there will be a ban on the entry of non-Sanatanis in Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham. Now, to visit Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham, devotees will have to give an affidavit of faith. Let us tell you that a big decision has come regarding Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham, which are included in the famous Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has now talked about implementing a new system for the devotees coming to these temples for darshan, under which the devotees will have to give an affidavit of faith in Sanatan Dharma.

Statement regarding Sara Ali Khan

In fact, in the recent board meeting of Badri Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC), it was decided to bar the entry of non-Sanatanis into Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. After this decision, today committee chairman Hemant Dwivedi has clarified the situation regarding this arrangement. Hemant Dwivedi has said that “If a person, irrespective of his background, expresses his faith in Sanatan Dharma and gives an affidavit for the same, then he can be allowed to have darshan in the temple. Giving the example, he said that even if a celebrity like Sara Ali Khan comes to Kedarnath, expresses her faith in Sanatan and gives an affidavit, then she will not be stopped from having darshan.”

Sara goes to Kedarnath

In the context of the new rule, the example of Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has also come to light. Let us tell you that Sara Ali Khan has reached Kedarnath Dham many times till now and has been offering darshan and worship there. His special connection with Kedarnath is also believed to be with the film Kedarnath, with which he started his career. The shooting of this film was also done in Kedarnath Valley, after which she has been seen coming here from time to time and offering prayers. In such a situation, the committee says that if a celebrity like Sara Ali Khan also gives an affidavit expressing faith in Sanatan, then she will also be allowed to have darshan.

Where can I get the affidavit?

According to the committee, this affidavit will be made available in the temple premises itself, so that the devotees can give proof of their faith on the spot. Now the discussion regarding this decision has intensified in the state. While on one hand it is being linked to the protection of religious traditions, on the other hand different reactions are also emerging regarding it. At present, all eyes are on how this decision of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee is implemented in the coming Chardham Yatra season and what effect it has.

Congress enraged

In this entire matter, Congress national spokesperson Sujata Paul has made a scathing attack on BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi. Taking aim at the BJP government, he said that the saying of “destruction is black and vice versa” fits the Dhami government of Uttarakhand today. Paul alleged that after failing in Hindu-Muslim politics, BJP is now hurting the dignity of temples and the faith of devotees. He said that Uttarakhand is a state built on the sacrifice of women and insult to any daughter or motherly power will not be tolerated here.

Along with this, Paul has expressed objection to raising questions on Sara Ali Khan’s faith and asking for an affidavit from her. He asked whether similar proof would be sought from the families of other Muslim leaders of BJP? Calling it an insult to faith, he said that it is shameful to question the religious sentiments of people dedicated to the country and society. In the end Paul warned that fear the wrath of Lord Badri Vishal and Baba Kedar and apologize immediately, otherwise both the public and God will not forgive. (Report: Himanshu Kushwaha, Jitendra)
