Omega Seiki is preparing to bring electric rickshaw with AC and sunroof

What is the news?

Omega Seiki is preparing to launch electric rickshaw equipped with air conditioner and sunroof. A patent has been filed for this. Earlier, the company had showcased the ‘Muse’ electric rickshaw at the 2023 Auto Expo. The basic idea is to improve the overall experience of a three-wheeler while maintaining the practicality and affordable price. From the filing of the patent, it seems that it can be launched soon.

Talking about the design, this 4-door electric rickshaw has a tilted windshield and large mirror, which provides a more comfortable experience to the driver and passengers. The rickshaw features circular LED headlights, door handles with flaps, a flat boot lid at the rear, a large windscreen and vertically mounted lighting elements and the spare tire is housed in the boot area. There is a tall rear-view mirror installed on the roof for a wider view of the traffic, which is found in luxury buses.

Many premium features like touchscreen infotainment system and wireless charger were seen inside this rickshaw at the Auto Expo. Many controls including AC are provided in the panel located below the handlebar. It has a simple driver seat, which has padded padding. The rear bench seat provides ample space for 3 passengers. Rear AC vent and square shaped fixed glass roof are also provided on the roof.

What is the range of the rickshaw?

The Omega Seiki 4-door rickshaw will be equipped with an 8kWh battery, which is based on NMC technology. Its range certified by IDC is 150 kilometers, while the actual range is 100 kilometers. The maximum speed of this electric vehicle is 50 km/h. The rickshaw weighs 500 kg and can travel on slopes of up to 30 percent. To increase its range, it has been given a 15 percent regeneration system. The rickshaw will take approximately 4 hours to charge.
