Owaisi and Himanta clash over ‘burqa wali PM’! Know why the matter reached Pakistan?

Nagpur: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi had recently given a statement regarding a woman wearing burqa becoming the Prime Minister, which has intensified the political turmoil in the entire country. When Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma retaliated on this statement of Owaisi, now Owaisi called him of Pakistani mentality. And also alleged that CM Sarma does not know about the spirit of the Constitution.

Accusation of Pakistan’s intelligence

Asaduddin Owaisi hit back at CM Sarma and said, ‘He has tubelight in his mind. He has taken oath on the Constitution. Where is all this written in the Constitution? He has the mentality of Pakistan. That is why it is written in the Constitution of Pakistan that only a person from the same community can become the Prime Minister of the country. Our country has the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar, who knew more than Himanta Biswa Sarma. He was more educated than them.

This country does not belong to any one religion – Owaisi

Owaisi further said, ‘It is regrettable that these people neither understand the Constitution nor know its spirit. And this country does not belong to any one religion or community. The beauty of this country is that it is also the country of those who do not believe in God or Allah. His thinking is small. That’s why we talk small like this.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had said, ‘There is no restriction regarding this in the Constitution. Anyone can become Prime Minister. But, India is a Hindu nation. There is Hindu civilization. We always believe and have full confidence that the Indian Prime Minister will always be a Hindu.

What did Owaisi say in Maharashtra?

It is noteworthy that Owaisi had earlier said in a rally in Maharashtra that a day will come when a woman wearing a burqa will become the Prime Minister of this country. There is no restriction regarding this in the Constitution. Many BJP leaders have surrounded Owaisi regarding this.
