Owaisi’s first statement on Khamenei’s murder, said- ‘People of Iran will definitely answer this’

Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday strongly condemned the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He described this attack by America and Israel as cowardly and inhuman. Owaisi expressed concern over the impact on India’s economy in case of rising oil prices due to this increasing tension in West Asia. At the same time, Muslim scholar Rehan Akhtar Qasmi of Aligarh Muslim University also expressed concern over the situation in West Asia.

‘This is a cowardly and inhuman attack’

Condemning the killing of Khamenei, Owaisi said, ‘Iran’s respected leader Ayatollah Khamenei was killed. The people of Iran will definitely answer this. The attack took place while peace talks were going on in Geneva. This is a cowardly and inhuman attack. If this war continues, oil prices will increase, and even a difference of $1 will have a big impact on India’s economy. Let us tell you that America and Israel had jointly attacked Iran on Saturday in which many important people including the Supreme Leader of Iran were killed.

‘War never solves any problem’

Speaking on the ongoing war in Iran, Rehan Akhtar Qasmi said, ‘Innocent people are being killed in both the countries, and attacks on economic centers are creating an uproar. War is never the solution to any problem, no matter what era it is. Be it the war between Ukraine and Russia, or the recent war in Afghanistan, no problem has ever been solved by war. Qasmi appealed to the Indian government to advocate peace. He said, ‘Iran’s supreme leader was also killed recently, this is not giving the right message. Every Indian Muslim and all citizens are against the war. The country’s leadership should come forward and take steps to stop this war.

Israeli army released video of the attack

Israel has released video of the airstrike in the ‘heart of Iran’ that killed its supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Israeli army i.e. IDF carried out attacks in Iran under Operation ‘Roaring Lion’. In a post on Israel also killed Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. In response, Iran attacked Israel and US military bases in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
