Bangladesh had refused to play the T20 World Cup in India citing security concerns. At the same time, on January 24, ICC had included Scotland in place of Bangladesh from the tournament. PCB Chairman Naqvi expressed his displeasure over this and accused ICC of adopting double standards and expressed doubt over Pakistan’s participation. In this sequence, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had said not to play the match against India.
