Parliament heated up due to objectionable statements on Nehru-Indira, opposition upset over Nishikant Dubey’s claims

New Delhi: There was a lot of uproar in the Lok Sabha today when during the motion of thanks, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey came into the House carrying 6 books and while quoting from them, made objectionable comments about former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. Opposition MPs became angry and due to uproar in the House the proceedings had to be postponed. According to sources, the opposition MPs approached the Speaker with their complaint. The speaker has asked for a written complaint.

Dubey did not stop even after being stopped by the presiding speaker.

In fact, when Nishikant Dubey was making bookish claims about former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, Krishna Prasad Teneti, who was presiding at that time, tried to stop him but Nishikant Dubey did not stop and continued speaking.

Opposition MPs created ruckus

These objectionable comments of Nishikant Dubey enraged the opposition Parliament and the proceedings of the House were adjourned. The opposition alleges that two different rules are being adopted for the Leader of the Opposition and the BJP MP.

Opposition MPs met Speaker Om Birla

Opposition MPs have demanded action against Nishikant Dubey. According to sources, opposition MPs met Speaker Om Birla in this regard and presented the entire matter. On this, the Speaker asked the opposition MPs to give their complaint in writing.

Nishikant Dubey did not stop here, he posted a letter of Jawaharlal Nehru written to General Cariappa on the social media X handle around 4.30 pm and shared it. Along with this he wrote – If I say something, there will be an uproar, will Congress’s Lanka go on fire? Nehru-Gandhi family will become Jani’s enemy?
