Patiala House Court sent Anmol Bishnoi on 11-day NIA remand.

New Delhi: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi has been sent on 11-day NIA remand by Patiala House Court. NIA produced Anmol, who was arrested after extradition from America, in the Patiala House court at around 5 pm. NIA had sought 15 days’ custody of Anmol but the court sent Anmol to 11 days’ NIA custody.

Accused of plotting target killing

According to NIA’s allegations, Anmol was involved in a big conspiracy of terrorists and gangsters. NIA told the court that Anmol Bishnoi was part of a criminal-terror syndicate which used to raise money and recruit youth for terrorist activities in the country and abroad. He used to plot target killing of big people. He used to spread terror after committing crimes and by spreading propaganda on social media.

NIA claims that this entire network is linked to terrorist organizations like Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and their aim is to spread instability and fear in the country. Anmol was already absconding and the court has declared him a Proclaimed Offender. The agency said that Anmol was absconding since 2022. The court had also declared him a fugitive in January 2025.

NIA arrested at IGI airport

As soon as he landed at IGI Airport at around 2.30 pm today, the NIA arrested him. The entire legal process at the time of arrest was explained in the court. The old arrest warrant was read out to Anmol. A copy of the warrant and arrest memo was given in his hand. Receipt of memo was also taken from him and medical examination of Anmol was also done.

Anmol Bishnoi’s lawyers told the court that NIA already has all the evidence, hence there is no need for police remand. Anmol will give full cooperation in the investigation. He is connected to the society, there is no possibility of any kind of escape. Anmol’s lawyers demanded from the court that his remand should not be given to NIA.

NIA said that Anmol has been named in 11 criminal cases in the country. The gang was active in many states including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Delhi. Information about the gang’s large network linked to foreign countries has come to light in the document. The names of these gangs have cropped up in many high-profile murders, including the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. His role in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, firing at the house of Bollywood star Salman Khan in April 2024, and many other crimes, his network, sources of money, social media accounts, gang operations and the entire chain of terrorist conspiracy can be investigated. On this, the court ordered to send Anmol to NIA remand for 11 days.
