The ongoing controversy regarding the release of Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri’s film ‘O Romeo’ has now been resolved. A city civil court in Mumbai has dismissed a petition filed against the release of ‘O Romeo’. Sanowar had filed an interim application against producer Sajid Nadiadwala, director Vishal Bhardwaj and others. He alleged that this film is based on his father’s life, which is also mentioned in the book ‘Mafia: Queens of Mumbai’. Sanowar claimed that the release of the film would violate the privacy of his late father and family.

‘O Romeo’ gets green signal

The court did not find sufficient legal grounds to stop the film and rejected the application filed against producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Vishal Bhardwaj. The court did not find any concrete reason to stop the film, so now the film will hit the theaters only on its scheduled date i.e. 13th February. On the other hand, in a detailed affidavit filed on February 6, director Vishal Bhardwaj called the case false, frivolous and based on misconception.
