Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Iran on Eid amidst war. PM Modi has spoken on phone to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezheshkian. During this he extended best wishes for Eid and Navroz. PM Modi wrote on social media platform X that we expressed hope that this festive season will bring peace, stability and prosperity in West Asia.

Threat to regional stability

Along with this, PM Modi condemned the attacks on critical infrastructure in Iran, which pose a threat to regional stability and disrupt global supply chains.

PM Modi reiterated the importance of protecting freedom of navigation and ensuring that shipping routes remain open and safe. Appreciated Iran’s continued support for the safety and security of Indian citizens in Iran.

War enters fourth week
