‘Politicians are doing work like kings, such as no one can do anything’- court rebuke

The Madras High Court has severely reprimanded former DMK Minister K Ponmudi for making derogatory remarks against Vaishnavas, Shaivas and general class women. The court warned that if the Tamil Nadu police fail to take action against them, a CBI inquiry can be ordered.

Hearing a self -enacted writ petition launched by the court, Justice Velmurugan said, “Nowadays these politicians feel that there is no limit to the sky under Article 19. The judge further stressed, ‘Politicians should remember that they live in a country that is for everyone. Not only for a particular person, not just for politicians. Everyone should realize that they are living among the people.

The court cannot tolerate by seeing all this

According to the report of Live Law, the court said, ‘Everyone (politician) is saying so many things as if they are kings. For example, no one can do anything against the king. The court cannot tolerate all this by just seeing this. Judge Velmurugan also said that, “Unfortunately or fortunately, this is the first such case.” After this, the next hearing of the case has been scheduled on 1 August.
