The injured were immediately taken to the hospital by 108 ambulance, where both the injured are being treated. As soon as information about the incident was received, the Baleshwar Police team also reached the spot. The incident occurred within the limits of Balasore police station. At present the police team is present at the spot. The police officer investigating the incident said, “It is a private aircraft of Red Bird Aviation. It was flying from Kalaburagi to Belagavi when its engine developed a technical fault and it suddenly crashed. There were two people on board, identified as a captain and a trainee pilot. Both of them suffered serious injuries in the incident and have been admitted to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Further investigation is underway.”
