Priyank Kharge’s sharpest attack on RSS so far, also raised questions on funding and legal status

Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge has once again targeted RSS fiercely. He compared RSS to the devil and called BJP the shadow of the devil. Addressing an event on Sunday, Priyank Kharge compared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to the “devil” and described the BJP as its “shadow”. Additionally, he accused the organization of financial irregularities and also raised questions on its legal status. Kharge said that BJP takes the strength of its thinking from RSS and that is why political opponents should fight RSS directly instead of BJP.

Fight the devil, not the shadow

Priyank said, “If there was no RSS, BJP would have been worse than JD(S). I can give you this in writing – it would have been worse than the regional parties.” “What we are doing today is fighting the shadow of the devil. Who is the shadow of the devil? It is BJP. Who is the devil? It is RSS. If we stop fighting the shadow and fight the devil, our country will automatically become better.”

Network of more than 2500 organizations

Kharge also accused the RSS of indulging in “money laundering” and questioned the source of its funds. He claimed that the organization has a network of over 2,500 affiliated organisations, some of which are in countries like the US and England. He demanded that the legal and constitutional rules applicable to other organizations and citizens should also apply to RSS. He said, “RSS wants us to become good citizens, pay income tax, but they themselves want to be free from it. How is this possible? We have to raise questions on this.

Priyank Kharge said – “He (Mohan Bhagwat) says that we do not need registration because we are a body of individuals> I promise you that if not today or tomorrow we will have to get registered, I will get it done> As long as there is law and constitution, this will happen, for this you need political will power and you have to be right in the constitutional and legal way, that’s all that is required, we will do this against any kind of communal forces whether it is RSS or Be it SDPI or anyone else, they can be stopped.

Kharge said that RSS has a network of more than 2500 organizations, be it America or England, money comes from different places. I am saying that these people are involved in money laundering. From where are they getting so much money and how is it coming? They preach us that as a good citizen we and you should pay taxes but for them everything is free for all. How is this possible?
