Nishikant Dubey in Aap Ki Adalat | BJP’s flamboyant MP Nishikant Dubey has made many sensational revelations in India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma’s famous show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. Dubey described Rahul Gandhi as “a non-serious person who needs prompting while speaking in Parliament”. The BJP MP said that when Jyotiraditya Scindia was in Congress, he used to prompt Rahul Gandhi during his speeches. Nishikant Dubey said, ‘If you ask me to compare Rahul Gandhi with Priyanka Gandhi, I would say that Priyanka looks more confident in Parliament. Rahul is also angry with this statement of mine. If his behavior continues like this, how will he be able to run the Congress party?

When Rajat Sharma asked whether Priyanka had asked him to hold one of the books upright instead of upside down when he was quoting books related to Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten and the India-China war of 1962, Dubey laughed and said, ‘No, she was probably worried that I might mention Robert Vadra. Sonia Gandhi has two tasks left. One, to set up his son, and two, to present it to his son-in-law (Robert Vadra). The son is not getting settled and the gift given to the son-in-law is making rounds of ED and CBI. But Soniaji also knows that I have said these things correctly. They feel that whatever happens, this man (Dubey) says the right thing in Parliament.

Nishikant Dubey further said, ‘When Sonia ji came out of the House after the interim budget speech in 2024, I met her. He told me that I am going to Rajya Sabha. He was not well that day. When I asked about his health, he held my hand and said, a man like you should come to Parliament.

Rahul’s clothes

The BJP MP said, ‘Rahul, who calls himself the future Prime Minister, should not wear shabby clothes inside Parliament. The souls of our freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for Swadeshi and Khadi, must have been twisted when they saw Rahul in Parliament wearing shabby pants and T-shirt. He calls himself the future Prime Minister. He has Randeep Surjewala and K.C. There are leaders like Venugopal who stand up and shout when he speaks. During my entire tenure in Parliament, I never wore any clothes other than kurta and pajama.

When Rajat Sharma asked about the pictures of him on social media in which he was seen wearing an Armani suit and a Louis Vuitton T-shirt, Dubey replied, ‘When did I say that I am a poor man? I said how one should dress inside Parliament. This is a question of dignity of Parliament. In personal life, how you dress does not matter, but since he is the leader of the opposition, the dignity of Parliament matters.

Mahua Moitra in trouble

Nishikant Dubey explained in detail about the ongoing case against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on ‘money for questions’. The Lok Sabha had expelled Mahua Moitra from the House only after a complaint in the Ethics Committee of the Parliament. Dubey revealed that he had recently met Mahua Moitra at a wedding and had spoken to her several times.

Dubey said, ‘In Parliament we meet people from all parties. Four-five people met me from their side. She met me at a wedding. I asked my senior leadership what to do about them. I was told that now this is a party fight because Parliament has taken the decision. My senior leader said, there is no problem in talking to him, but your image is such that, firstly, you have become the unofficial spokesperson of the party without saying anything, and secondly, you will not stop even after facing someone, hence the fight will continue. That is why the matter did not progress further.

On the issue of ‘money for questions’, BJP MP made dire predictions about Mahua Moitra. Dubey said, ‘Since Parliament expelled him on the basis of the recommendation of the Ethics Committee, the Supreme Court also upheld it, and the Lokpal has also taken up the matter, so the charge sheet may come soon. If the charges are proved, he could face seven years in jail and be disqualified from contesting elections for six years. Overall, about 15 years of his career will be wasted.

Dubey said the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has registered a total of 52 cases against him, his 87-year-old mother, his wife and his brother. “The state government has already spent Rs 60-70 crore on lawyers’ fees and litigation,” he said.

Rahul’s charge of surrender

On the allegation made by Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ‘surrendered’ to America while finalizing the India-US trade agreement, Nishikant Dubey replied, ‘The Indian government surrendered when his father (Rajiv Gandhi) was asking for supercomputers from America. India surrendered when his grandmother Indiraji took wheat from America under PL-480 law. India surrendered when Chakulia Air Force Base in Jharkhand was handed over to the US Air Force in 1961. India surrendered when America was allowed to install nuclear devices (plutonium isotope generators) on Nanda Devi in the Himalayas, due to which people living on the banks of the Ganges in North India are still dying of cancer. In the face of all this, this man (Modi) showed his determination and forced Donald Trump to agree to the India-US trade deal.
