Dozens of people, including students, were buried under the debris after the building of a restaurant operating in Jawahar Nagar area of ​​Kota district in Rajasthan collapsed. Police reached the spot after getting information and started relief and rescue operations. Till now, two students have been taken out in injured condition and admitted to the Medical College Hospital. Along with this, the work of evacuating other people buried under the debris is going on. As a precaution, the police have surrounded the area.

How did this accident happen?

Police said that at around 9.45 pm on Saturday evening, a two-storey building under construction in Jawahar Nagar police station area suddenly collapsed. Moradabadi non-veg restaurant was operating in this building. There was chaos in the area after the accident. The people present nearby started pulling out the people buried under the debris and two students were the first to be taken out and taken to the hospital. Police said that till now about 5-6 people have been evacuated.

People angry over delay in rescue work

Local residents say that the crane required for rescue arrived late by about one and a half hour, due to which the pace of initial rescue work was slow. As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers also reached the spot and the entire area was taken under security cordon. The rescue operation is continuing. It is being told that about 10-12 restaurant employees were also on duty in the building at the time of the accident.
