While distributing blankets to the needy in Tonk district of Rajasthan, former BJP MP Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria discriminated between Hindus and Muslims, the video of which has surfaced. It is seen in the video that while distributing blankets to some women, Jaunpuriya asks the name of a woman and as soon as he hears the Muslim name, he asks her to snatch the blanket and asks the woman to leave. The blanket distribution program was held on February 22 in Karera village of Niwai tehsil.

Abusers have no right to receive blankets – Jaunpuriya

It is seen in the video that Jaunpuriya is seen asking the Muslim woman to take back the blanket. He is saying, “Those who abuse Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they have no right to get a blanket. Whether one feels bad or good. You have been made to sit here, but you people go away.” During this period, blankets were taken back from some women. There was protest on the spot, but Jaunpuriya left in the car.

Congress called Jaunpuriya’s conduct shameful

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Tikaram Juli termed the conduct of former BJP MP from Tonk-Sawaimadhopur Jaunpuriya as shameful. He said that a public representative has held a position like MP and if he acts like this then it is absolutely condemnable. At the same time, Jaunpuriya says that this was not a government scheme but his personal program and he has not discriminated against anyone. The program was completely organized on an individual level.
