After 21 years, Nitish Kumar said goodbye to Bihar. Now everyone’s eyes are on who will become the new Chief Minister of Bihar? Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of all the MLAs, MPs and MLCs of Janata Dal-United at his official residence on Friday evening. In this meeting, Nitish Kumar will tell the party leaders about his future steps.

Now Nitish will go from Patna to Delhi, will become a member of Rajya Sabha, will become a minister in the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Amit Shah also gave a farewell speech for Nitish Kumar. Said, the people of Bihar will remember Nitish’s works for a long time.

Since 2005, ten governments have changed in Bihar, alliances changed, Deputy CMs changed, but Nitish Kumar remained the CM. Still no one can believe that just three months after taking oath as CM for the tenth time, Nitish will leave the post of CM and get ready to go to Delhi. But on Wednesday a miracle happened.

After filing the Rajya Sabha nomination, Nitish Kumar formally announced that now he will do the country’s politics, will go to Delhi, will start his new political innings as a Rajya Sabha MP, but will remain in touch with the people of Bihar. Nitish also said that whatever new government is formed in Bihar, he will continue to support and guide it.

After filing the nomination of Nitish Kumar, Amit Shah left for Delhi without any delay, but what Amit Shah said before leaving made two things clear.

First, the Nitish era has ended in Bihar politics. Now BJP will be in the role of elder brother in Bihar. And secondly, it is almost certain that now only BJP will become the Chief Minister of Bihar. Discussion has started between BJP and JD-U on deciding the name of the new Chief Minister and the picture will become clear in the next three-four days.

Bihar politics has seen only two faces in the last 35 years, Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar. Both Lalu and Nitish had to step back due to health. Lalu was sentenced on corruption charges. There was never any allegation of corruption against Nitish Kumar.

Lalu kept trying to make his son Tejashwi the Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar never allowed his son Nishant to come forward. People saw Jungle Raj under the rule of Lalu Yadav. Nitish Kumar’s image became that of Sushasan Babu. Such inequality is rarely seen in politics. That is why Nitish Kumar’s move from Patna to Delhi will create a big void in Bihar. Taking his place will be a big challenge for anyone. (Rajat Sharma)
