Anand Ramanand Sagar Chopra, son of veteran film and TV producer Ramanand Sagar, has passed away at the age of 84. He was ill for a long time. Anand Sagar, who made his mark with famous serials like ‘Alif Laila’ and ‘Aankhen’, breathed his last at his residence. He was cremated at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, where his family members and close people were present.

Anand was ill for the last 10-12 years.

According to the information received, Anand Sagar was seriously unwell for the last 10-12 years. He was suffering from a serious disease like Parkinson’s, due to which his health was continuously deteriorating. Despite prolonged illness and physical suffering, he fought till the end, but died on February 13, 2026, at the age of 84. Anand’s last rites were conducted with all rituals at the Pawan Hans Hindu cremation ground in Mumbai.
