Bangalore: The Chittoor District Collector of Andhra Pradesh has imposed restrictions on Thotapuri Mawan of Karnataka. The price of Thotapuri mango has collapsed and farmers are outraged. CM Siddaramaiah has written to CM Chandrababu Naidu in the wake of the Andhra Pradesh government’s restriction.
CM Siddaramaiah has appealed to Andhra Pradesh CM to withdraw the restrictions on Thotapuri’s mother. Chittoor District Collector has imposed the Thotapuri Mango restriction of Karnataka. This has caused trouble for farmers who have grown mangoes on the Karnataka border. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has sought to clear this restriction.
The restriction is not okay without pre -consultation. This is contrary to the attitude of the cooperative union system. I am concerned that this can lead to revenge actions. Vegetables and other agricultural commodities can be disrupted by inter-state transport. Chandrababu Naidu requested him by CM’s letter, ”I urge you to intervene.

Earlier, Shalini Rajneesh, the chief secretary of the Karnataka government, had written to the Andhra Pradesh Secretary. CM Siddaramaiah has now appealed to CM Chandrababu Naidu through a letter.
