Renuka Swamy case: SPP Prasanna hits back at allegations of false evidence

Recently, there was an allegation that the investigators investigating the Renuka Swamy murder case had tampered with the evidence. The news also spread that Darshan’s fans are going to protest against this. But now SPP Prasanna Kumar has objected to this allegation. He also said that the lawyer for one of the accused is making such allegations deliberately and just for publicity.

SPP Prasanna Kumar argued in the 57th CCH Court that the lawyer for A3 accused Pawan in the Renuka Swamy murder case has submitted a memo for publicity and is giving a statement in the media. The accused have not raised any dispute about the mobile number and IMEI numbers, and the investigators will answer the questions raised by them in the court.

Even though the law does not allow the investigating officer to be accused, Pawan’s lawyer has filed an application. This is a ridiculous application, these types of unnecessary applications are being submitted and statements are being made in the media. Therefore, Pawan has requested that the petition filed by Pawan’s lawyer should be dismissed.

Prasanna objected to the petition submitted by Darshan’s lawyer to conduct the hearing on a daily basis and said that the Supreme Court has said that it is not possible to conduct the hearing on a daily basis. Prasanna also defended the application filed by Darshan seeking permission to visit the family members and said, ‘He has applied directly without requesting the prison officer, this is against the rules. Prasanna argued that the authorities will take action as per the jail manual, the accused have requested to appear before the court in person, but this will cause a problem for Darshan’s security. The court reserved an order on the petitions.

Pawan’s lawyer had filed an application that the investigating officer had tampered with the evidence and created false evidence, so he should be made the 18th accused in the case. In connection with the same case, Mahajaru has requested the court to allow him to personally visit the places where the incident took place (including the Kamakshipalaya Police Station) and carry out an investigation. The court sought the opinion of the Kamakshipalya police in this regard.
