Royal hospitality for prisoners – Two senior officers suspended

Bangalore: Two senior officers were beheaded and one officer was hanged in the Parappana Agrahara case of royal treatment of prisoners. Jail Superintendent Mageri, Assistant Superintendent Ashok Bhajantri have been suspended.

Chief Superintendent Suresh has also been promoted. Home Minister Parameshwar has taken action against the jail officials and appointed an IPS officer as the jail superintendent. Minister Parameshwar has ordered a comprehensive investigation led by ADGP Hitendra Kumar.

He has instructed to report in this regard as soon as possible. Home Minister Parameshwar held a meeting with the senior officials, and after holding the meeting for 2 hours, the Home Minister took action against the officials.
