Tech giant Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 series in its Unpacked event today (February 25). The company’s new smartphone series includes three models (Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra). All three smartphones are equipped with excellent hardware with special Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. The company says that the new series comes with better cameras, longer battery life and software updates for up to 7 years.
Special features of Galaxy S26
Samsung Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch full-HD + Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and better brightness. This phone runs on 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset and comes with Android 16 based One UI 8.5. It has 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options. The 50MP triple rear camera setup and 4,300mAh battery make it a premium smartphone with balanced performance, perfect for everyday use.
Features of Galaxy S26 Plus
The Galaxy S26+ has a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which has a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also equipped with a 2nm Exynos 2600 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM, making multitasking easier. It has a 4,900mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging. The camera setup is the same as the S26, which includes a 50MP main sensor and 3x optical zoom, along with better image processing.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 “For Galaxy” chipset and packs up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage option. It has a 5,000mAh battery and 60W wired charging support, which gives a faster charging experience.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra sports a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 200MP primary sensor that takes high-resolution photos. It is provided with 50MP periscope telephoto, 50MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto lens, which provides clear pictures at different distances. The phone offers 8K video recording, HDR10+ support and advanced stabilization features. There is a 12MP selfie camera on the front. Advanced Galaxy AI features will be available in all models
Special emphasis has been laid on Galaxy AI features in the Galaxy S26 series. Now Assist makes suggestions based on on-screen activity, while Call Screen handles unknown calls and shows live text. Photo Assist AI helps with editing and provides creative studio content tools. Bixby device agent provides voice control and privacy alerts about app access. AI noise reduction is also available in some apps.

The starting price of Samsung Galaxy S26 in India is Rs 87,999, while the 12GB + 512GB variant will be available for Rs 1.08 lakh. The 12GB + 256GB model of Galaxy S26+ will be available for Rs 1.20 lakh and the 12GB + 512GB variant will be available for Rs 1.40 lakh. Pre-booking of both these models has started from 25th February. Official sales and deliveries will begin on March 11 on Amazon and Samsung online stores.
