Sarvam AI gets new identity before AI Impact Summit

What is the news?

India is going to organize the Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit AI Impact this month. Meanwhile, Bengaluru-based startup company Sarvam AI has introduced its new brand identity. The company says that it is working on the goal of making ‘AI for everyone from India’. In the new identity, special emphasis has been laid on connecting Indian thought, language and culture with technology, so that the diversity of the country can be understood properly.

Emphasis on Indian identity in design

The company has taken inspiration from Indian art in its new logo and design. The monogram is designed in mandala style, appearing in a lotus-like shape. The change from blue to orange represents progress and change. Many people on different social media platforms praised this new design and described it as related to Indian tradition. Some users have also asked the company the question of launching a mobile app.

Sarvam Vision and Bulbul V3 launched

Before rebranding, the company had introduced two major products. Sarvam Vision is a model that can read text from scanned documents, photographs and even handwritten notes. It supports 22 Indian languages and is capable of understanding complex tables and charts. Whereas Bulbul V3 is a text to voice system, which provides more than 35 voices in 11 languages and tries to understand Indian speech.

Preparation to prepare India’s own AI model

Sarvam AI has got the responsibility of creating the country’s first indigenous large language model under the India AI Mission. The company aims to create a model that has a good share of Indian data and gives priority to local needs. It has been reported that there is very little Indian data in the existing global models. Sarvam is preparing to launch its new model soon, so that a special and reliable AI system can be developed for India.
