It has been reported in the report that India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval had taken a tough stance towards America and had said to wait for the end of Donald Trump’s tenure if there is no trade deal. India will not come under pressure – Ajit Doval

According to Bloomberg report, India’s NSA Ajit Doval had met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in September last year. During this, Doval had made it clear that India will not come under the pressure of America. He had made it clear to US officials that the Indian government was ready to wait till the end of Donald Trump’s term for a trade deal and India had faced other hostile US administrations before too.

Asked to reduce criticism of India

According to the information given in the report, NSA Ajit Doval had also told US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that US President Donald Trump and his allies should reduce public criticism of India so that relations can be brought back on track. In this meeting, India had adopted a tough stance and had said that India will not come under the pressure of America and can wait for the deal till 2029 i.e. till the end of Trump’s term.
