Indian security forces killed three terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. All three terrorists were part of Jaish-e-Mohammed. On receiving specific information, security forces launched a search operation and killed the terrorists in an encounter. This is a big success for the Indian security forces. However, most of the credit for this success goes to Tyson, who despite being shot, did not step back and helped the soldiers.
Sniffer Dog Tyson of the Para Special Forces Unit of the Indian Army displayed extraordinary gallantry in operations against terrorists. Tyson discovered the hideouts of the terrorists during the search operation.
Didn’t step back despite being shot
As soon as Tyson reached near the terrorists’ hideout, suddenly firing started. The attackers fired directly at him and the sniffer dog was hit in the leg. Despite the injury, Tyson did not back down. He continued moving forward, confirmed the presence of terrorists and helped the troops locate their exact position. Tyson gave the Army a significant lead. With his assistance, the security forces were successful in engaging the terrorists and killing all three terrorists, including a wanted commander who was evading arrest for a long time.
Army officer praised
“Trooper Tyson, the brave K-9 of the Army’s 2nd Para Special Forces, is a German Shepherd. He was injured during an operation against terrorists. He was hit by a bullet in his right front leg,” an Army officer said. The officer said that Tyson first ran towards the door where the terrorists were hiding. Despite being shot, Tyson continued to press forward, demonstrating extraordinary courage and loyalty. The dog was taken to the hospital for treatment. According to officials, his condition is stable at the Command Hospital in Udhampur and is improving after treatment. Three Pakistani terrorists, including a senior Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander, were killed in the Kishtwar encounter, according to officials with knowledge of the incident.
Not just a sniffer dog, a true soldier
Tyson’s story is a powerful example of how courage is not limited to humans alone. Army dogs like Tyson are specially trained to detect threats, detect explosive materials, and assist soldiers in life-threatening situations. His loyalty and fearlessness during dangerous missions often makes the difference between success and failure. Tyson may not wear a medal or speak a word, but his actions reflect the spirit of a true soldier. A soldier who faced bullets without hesitation and helped save others.
