The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 54 kilometers from the earth.

Earthquake in Assam too

National Center for Seismology has informed that in Assam, another state of North-East India, the earth shook due to a strong earthquake in the early hours of Monday. According to the information given by the institute, the intensity of the earthquake in Assam was measured at 5.1 on the Richter scale. This earthquake occurred in Morigaon, Assam at 4.17 am. The epicenter of the earthquake in Assam was 50 kilometers deep from the earth.
