The Meteorological Department has predicted an increase of about 2 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature of north-west India on February 10. Light fog is also occurring at some places.

The weather department has predicted snowfall with light rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh till February 10. During this period, winds can also blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour.

The Meteorological Department has warned of dense fog in the morning and night at different places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 24 hours. Dense fog is also likely in northern Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh in the morning.

The Meteorological Department said that temperatures are being recorded around 10°C in Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains of India was 6.6°C recorded in Shahjahanpur (Western Uttar Pradesh).

A gradual rise in minimum temperatures by about 2-4°C is likely over many parts of northwest India during the next 2 days with no significant change thereafter. This means that the cold in the country will gradually reduce and the heat will also be felt due to strong sunlight during the day.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to range between 24°C to 26°C and 09°C to 11°C respectively. The minimum temperature will remain close to normal. Winds can blow at a speed of 5-12 km per hour.
