- The CJI said that the framers of our Constitution were very conscious and took care that constitutional responsibilities are fixed… the Legislature, Judiciary and Executive can work with autonomy and preserve the democratic fabric of our country. Given the constitutionally stated limitations, we were shocked when a major newspaper published an article about the release of the Social Science book ‘Exploring Society India and Beyond’ for Grade (II), the first edition of which was published by NCERT in February 2026.
- The CJI said that this chapter specifically mentions hundreds of complaints received against the Judiciary, which shows that no action has been taken and some words from an old CJI’s speech have been taken, which shows that the Judiciary itself has accepted the lack of transparency and institutional corruption. The article further states that people experience different levels of corruption in the judiciary.
