In the 50th match of T-20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan cricket team’s opener Fakhar Zaman played an inning of 84 runs against Sri Lanka cricket team. He missed his first century of T20 International. This proved to be his 14th half-century of T-20 International. Meanwhile, he also made a record partnership with Sahibzada Farhan (100). Pakistan batted first and scored 212/8. Fakhar’s innings was strong

After losing the toss and batting first, Fakhar supported Sahibzada Farhan very well. The pair together made a partnership of 64 runs in the powerplay. Record partnership with Zaman and Farhan

Farhan and Fakhar made a partnership of 176 runs for the first wicket. This became a record for the highest partnership for any wicket in the history of T20 World Cup. Earlier, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen had made an unbroken partnership of 175 runs (in 2026) against UAE. The record for the third highest partnership is held in the name of Jos Buttler and Alex Hales (170* runs vs India, 2022).

Fakhar started his T20 International career in 2017 against the West Indies cricket team. He has played 119 matches so far, in which in 110 innings he has been successful in scoring 2,494 runs at an average of 23.98 and strike rate of 132.52. During this period he has scored 14 half-centuries in his name. His best performance has been 91 runs. Till now he has also hit 233 fours and 99 sixes.
