The news of the accident of India’s indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft is continuously in the headlines. However, now Tejas manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited i.e. HAL has issued a statement regarding the news of this accident. HAL has made it clear that the LCA Tejas aircraft has not crashed. HAL has informed that the incident under consideration was a minor technical problem on the ground and not an air accident.
Tejas is the safest aircraft – HAL
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has issued a clarification regarding the recent media reports on the alleged LCA Tejas crash and clearly stated that the Tejas aircraft did not crash. HAL has said in its statement that Tejas is one of the aircraft with the best safety record compared to its counterpart aircraft around the world.
Investigation into the case continues
Acknowledging recent media reports, it has given factual clarification and stated that as per standard operating procedures, a thorough investigation is being conducted into the technical issue that occurred with the aircraft. HAL is working in close coordination with the Indian Air Force (IAF) to ensure an early and effective solution.
What information was revealed earlier?
According to PTI, earlier news had come out that in the beginning of February, the Tejas aircraft of the Indian Air Force had gone beyond the runway after suspicious brake failure at the airbase and due to this, the structure of the aircraft had suffered extensive damage. Information had come to light that the pilot of the plane had ejected safely at the time of the incident. The aircraft was returning after a training flight at a forward airbase. However, no official statement has been issued yet by the Air Force on this incident. Let us tell you that in March 2024, a Tejas aircraft crashed near Jaisalmer. Apart from this, a Tejas jet also crashed at the Dubai Airshow in November 2025.
