The High Court vacated the stay on the Dharmasthala SIT investigation

Bangalore: The High Court has cleared the interim stay on the SIT’s investigation into the alleged burial of hundreds of dead bodies at Dharmasthala.

With this order, the SIT investigation will continue in the case, Vithal Gowda, Girish Mattannavar, Mahesh Timarodi and T. Jayant has to appear before the SIT.

Girish Mattannavar, Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, T. questioned the notice issued by the Belthangadi Police asking them to attend the hearing in connection with the case (FIR39/2025) registered against them at Dharmasthala Police Station. Justice P. heard the application submitted by Jayant and Vithal Gowda. M. The bench in which Nawaz was present ordered to vacate the restraining order.

Justice Mohammad Nawaz’s bench passed the verdict after an intensive hearing. The Bench did not require anyone to interfere with the SIT investigation. Investigation may continue under law. But it has directed that the applicant should not be harassed during the investigation.

This judgment has removed the temporary hold on the SIT investigation. Now the investigators are preparing for the operation to find out the truth of the case by collecting new evidence. According to sources, the SIT has already collected several documents, telephone conversations and documents related to bank statements.
