A strange and funny incident happened in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The police at Tadipatri Town Police Station were shocked when they received a strange complaint. A man reached the police station with a pot full of mutton and complained that his mutton was not getting cooked even after trying several times.
Town Circle Inspector Anand Rao was shocked when the man reached the station carrying a vessel full of uncooked meat. He said that despite repeated attempts it was neither becoming soft nor cooking properly. The case was strange, but it was taken seriously and was eventually resolved with the intervention of the police.
Mutton not cooked in 20 times
The complainant, Sodala Haji, is a resident of Putaluru Road, Tadipatri. He had bought meat for Ugadi celebrations. Excited to make the traditional head meat curry, he began cooking it, but was surprised to find that the meat remained tough and raw even after about 20 attempts.
Complain after reaching the police station
Frustrated and confused, Haji took the entire cooking vessel straight to the police station and lodged a complaint against the vendor. Police officials were initially surprised by the complaint, but decided to investigate the matter.
Police solved the case within minutes
After talking to the meat seller, Circle Inspector Anand Rao ensured that the matter was resolved there. The seller agreed to replace the spoiled meat with an equal quantity of fresh, edible mutton and the matter was resolved.
