The miscreants who poisoned the monkeys in Devarayanadurga!

Tumkur: There has been an incident where miscreants have poisoned monkeys in the historical area Devarayanadurga. It is suspected that miscreants have poisoned the rice. Monkeys and langurs died after consuming poison, 11 monkeys and 2 langurs were found dead.

The miscreants are encroaching around Devarayanadurga, and there is a large population of wild animals in the encroached area. So it is suspected that the monkeys have been poisoned. An autopsy was conducted by the Urdugere veterinary surgeon who arrived at the spot and the test report revealed the presence of rice. Officials have sent FSIL for verification.

District Collector Shubhakalyan has called an emergency meeting and instructed to trace the miscreants. The FSIL report is expected today. After receiving the report, the investigation will be accelerated by the Tumkur taluk forest officers. This incident took place in the jurisdiction of Kyatsandra Police Station.
