There will be rain due to western disturbance and low pressure, IMD told how the weather will be

The Meteorological Department has said that due to the effect of two western disturbances, there is a possibility of isolated rain/snowfall in the Western Himalayan region on 13 February and 16 and 17 February 2026. The first Western Disturbance is becoming active from 13 February. At the same time, the second Western Disturbance is becoming active from 16th February. According to IMD, a low pressure area is forming over the Bay of Bengal and eastern parts of the country on February 15. Because of this, it may rain in the coming days. The effect of two different western disturbances can be seen in the Western Himalayan region on 13 February and 16 February.

Rain forecast at these places next week

Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh may receive more than normal rainfall till February 19. Between February 19 and 26, there are chances of above normal rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.

what will the temperature be like

  • In the eastern states of the country, below normal temperatures are expected in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and East Uttar Pradesh.
  • Temperatures may remain above normal in Gujarat, Central Maharashtra and South Karnataka till February 19. At the same time, between February 19 and 26, temperatures may remain above normal in the north-eastern parts of the country along with Western Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Bihar.
  • Temperatures are likely to be below normal in Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Vidarbha and Andhra Pradesh.

Delhi’s weather is clear

According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday, which is 1.4 degrees more than the average temperature of this season. The weather department has predicted clear sky during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 26 degrees Celsius. Delhi’s air is in poor category. AQI 201 was recorded on Thursday.
