Today’s Weather: The weather patterns across the country are going to change once again. After the activation of two western disturbances, the period of thunderstorms and heavy rains is going to start from today. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted changes in the weather with heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in various states. The effect of this weather change can be seen in many areas of Western Himalayan region, North India, North-Eastern states and South India.

Effect of Western Disturbance from 27th to 31st March

According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, due to western disturbance, there may be rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and snowfall in high altitude areas between March 27 and 31.

Alert of storm and rain in North India

There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in many parts of North India. There is a possibility of winds at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Along with this, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is also expected in these areas.

Heavy rain warning in eastern India

There may be heavy rain in the states of Eastern India during this period. Widespread rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between March 28 and 30. There has also been a warning of heavy rain and hailstorm in some areas. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, there may be rain and thundershowers in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal also.

Rainy season will continue in Central India

Rain and thundershowers will continue in Central India for the next 7 days. Light to moderate rain may occur in Madhya Pradesh from 27 to 31 March, while rain is expected in Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha for the next 5 to 7 days. Strong winds may blow during this period also.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in some parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat. In these areas also, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Signs of changing weather in South India also

There may be incidents of rain and lightning at various places in the states of South India between 26 to 30 March. Rain and thundershowers are expected in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, hot and humid weather is likely to persist in Kerala and Goa.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

The sky will be cloudy in Delhi-NCR today and there may be light rain with strong winds. The Meteorological Department has predicted the onset of another weather system from March 29, after which there may be heavy rain with thunder in Delhi. During this period, an alert has been issued for winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Possibility of drizzle in 38 districts of Uttar Pradesh

At the same time, in Uttar Pradesh, there may be light to moderate rain in 38 districts from March 27 to 31. There is a possibility of drizzle with thunder in these districts. There is also a possibility of lightning at some places. During this period, winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour, due to which the temperature may drop.
