Threatening to kill PM Narendra Modi, DMK leader’s video before Tamil Nadu tour…

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. However, before this, a leader of Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK has threatened to kill PM Modi. There has been an uproar after a video of a DMK leader threatening to kill PM Modi surfaced. BJP state president Nayanar Nagendran, while sharing this video of the DMK leader on social media, has written that the DMK leader who threatened to kill the Prime Minister should be arrested immediately.

What did the DMK leader say?

DMK South District Secretary Jayapalan indirectly threatened to kill PM Modi at a protest event against SIR in Tenkasi district. DMK leader Jayapalan compared PM Modi to Narakasura. He said, “Modi is yearning to snatch your votes, he is another hell-god, Tamil Nadu can be benefited only by eliminating him, we have to fight this battle unitedly and show victory.”

BJP enraged

Tamil Nadu BJP president Nayanar Nagendran wrote on social media that “Threatening to kill a leader holding a very important position in the country, especially a great leader who is respected by the whole world, without any respect and stage etiquette raises doubts on the law and order of Tamil Nadu. In particular, the silence of Tenkasi MP Rani Sreekumar and Sankarankovil MLA Raja present there, without stopping the brutal speech of the District Secretary, exposes the violent nature and cruelty of the entire party. Whatever excuse the DMK makes to avoid this, it will not be accepted. I urge the DMK government to immediately arrest DMK South District Secretary Jayapalan who has made statements that jeopardize the security of the Honorable Prime Minister of India.”

PM Modi’s program

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the holy shrine of Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. After this PM Modi will go to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. PM Modi will inaugurate the South India Natural Agriculture Summit here and also release the 21st installment to farmers under the PM-Kisan scheme.
