Vande Bharat trains have become an important means of transportation for people traveling long distances. A total of 164 Vande Bharat trains are running in the country. Through these, thousands of people travel from one city to another every day. Meanwhile, Indian Railways has decided to change the timing of four Vande Bharat trains. This will affect people traveling in South India. Mainly passengers of Yesvantpur and Bengaluru will be affected by the change in train timings.

The Vande Bharat Express network within the country has expanded rapidly over the last few years, connecting major cities with faster, more comfortable and indigenously built semi-high-speed trains.

Time will change from 15th March

Railways is continuously improving the timetable to improve punctuality and reduce overcrowding. The Railway Ministry has revised the timings of four Vande Bharat trains operating under the South-Western Railway zone. The new timetable will be effective from March 15, 2026. Changing the timing of trains will have the biggest impact on the people of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kalaburagi.

22232 SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburgi Vande Bharat Express train will run 6 days a week except Thursday. The time table of this train has also been changed.

Why did the timing of trains change?

It has been told by Indian Railways that the timings have been changed to improve the operation of trains. Vande Bharat trains are seeing huge rush of passengers and are running at much shorter intervals than normal trains. In such a situation, even a slight change in the time-table helps in ensuring platform availability, regularizing the movement of trains and reducing delays. Railways has said that passengers traveling from stations whose timings have changed may have to make changes as per the new time-table.
