New Delhi: A major change in the weather is expected in the country in the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of snowfall, fog and strong winds along with rain in many states of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, two western disturbances are active in the country at present. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of rain as well as snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir today i.e. on Saturday. The weather is expected to remain bad in this area for the next two days. There is a possibility of snowfall along with rain between 9 and 11 February.
Winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour
The weather department has predicted that winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour in northwest India in the next two to three days. Due to this, cold is expected to increase in many areas. Minimum temperatures are being recorded between 5-10°C in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Temperatures are being recorded below zero in the hilly states. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains of India at 4.5°C was recorded in Sikar (East Rajasthan).

The Meteorological Department said that today there may be heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman Nicobar Islands. There is a possibility of isolated rain and snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during 9-11 February. Heavy rain/snow accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on 10 February.
