The movie ‘Jana Nayagan’, which was supposed to be released for the Sankranti festival of 2026, is in a precarious position due to censorship. According to the Censor Board members, some of the scenes in the film are offensive to religious sentiments. The way the armed forces are portrayed is objectionable. Currently, the film is before the revising committee, and the committee will watch the film and give a verdict in the coming days.
Film industry analysts are not quite ready to believe the news that the OTT deal has been cancelled. He opined that such rumors are normal when the release of a movie is delayed. Earlier there were similar reports about Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’. But it later came to light that the OTT firm had only rescheduled the rate and not canceled the contract.
