The veteran actor of Telugu film industry (Tollywood), Padma Shri awardee Rajendra Prasad has released a video in which he has not only expressed his deep sorrow over the controversy caused by his words. He apologized to the Tamil people saying, ‘I will not commit such a heinous mistake again in my life, please forgive me this time’.
A few days ago, Rajendra Prasad was awarded the Kantha Rao award. Rajendra Prasad, who spoke with emotion in the program, praised Kantha Rao’s acting and said, ‘MGR would urinate his pants after seeing Kantha Rao’s folk style of acting. They used to urinate because they were afraid that Ivanyarayah would take Indian cinema somewhere.
Not only the Tamil cinema lovers but also the leading actors of the Tamil film industry such as Nasser and actor Vishal condemned Rajendra Prasad’s derogatory words about MGR, who is also a former CM of Tamil film industry. He also insisted on apologizing. Accordingly, now Rajendra Prasad has apologized.

MGR is the god of Tamil cinema. I am not big enough to criticize them. He was CM when I was studying at Madras Film Institute, he also visited our institute once. He is a great actor. While talking about Kantarao as Lokabhirama, that one sentence slipped out of my mouth. I have great respect for MGR. Please forgive me this time, I will never do such a mistake again in my life,’ said the veteran actor.
Rajendra Prasad has recently been creating controversies with his statements. Earlier, Brahmanandam had talked down about Ali. His statements about cricketer David Warner, who acted in a Telugu movie, also caused controversy. But this time he put an end to the controversy by apologizing.
