Online harassment has become a scourge for actresses. Many actresses continue to suffer from online harassment, severe problems and mental torture. The miscreants have been harassing the actresses in many ways like obscene comments, AI generated obscene videos, distorted pictures. But only few actresses dare to fight against such. Recently cyber police are also serious against such trolls and are taking legal action. Now two people have been arrested by the police for online harassment of a glamorous Telugu actress.
Cyberabad Cyber Police has arrested two people who harassed popular actress and presenter Anusuya Bharadwaj online. Janardhan (29) and Kondapuram Arun Kumar have now been arrested. These two miscreants had created obscene videos of Anusuya using AI and shared them on social media. Actress Anusuya complained about this. Accordingly, the police arrested him.
Anusuya had lodged a complaint with the cyber police on December 23 last year. In the complaint, he alleged that several social media pages were circulating defamatory, abusive and obscene material against him. He complained that it was threatening his dignity and honor. He appealed to identify such people immediately and take strict action against the evildoers.
After receiving the complaint, the Cyberabad Cyber Police arrested Janardhan, a resident of Hyderabad and a native of Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. He runs an Instagram account ‘@mmtt_official’. Through this account, he was sharing obscene videos made by AI targeting some other actresses including Anusuya. Arun Kumar, an auto driver from West Maredpally, Secunderabad, has also been arrested by the police. The police said he was arrested for making extremely vile comments against the actress on YouTube reels.

The police have registered a case against these accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and the Information Technology Act (IT Act). The mobile phones of the accused have been seized and sent for forensic investigation. The police have so far registered an FIR against a total of 73 individuals and social media handles in connection with the case. It is known that the names of some media representatives and influential persons are also there. Actress Anasuya spoke for her personal freedom during a debate on women’s clothing. This was followed by constant trolling and harsh abuses targeting him on social media.
