The song ‘Sarse Seraga’ from the movie ‘KD’ starring Dhrva Sarja has caused controversy. Especially the Hindi version of the song has been strongly criticized and opposed and a complaint has been filed against many including Prem. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in the Lok Sabha that this song has been banned. Nora Fatehi, who is featured in the song, herself expressed her displeasure with the song. After everything is over, Prem, who has written the song, has given feedback about the song through social media.

Director Prem, who has uploaded a video on Instagram, said, ‘Nobody commits a mistake intentionally or knowingly. I have written many songs till now. You have written many songs about mother, God, brothers and sisters, love, folk and so on. People also come to the movie because there are good songs in the prem movie. I owe it to you. When I wrote this song (Sarse Seragu), I wrote it from a different perspective.’

‘When I wrote that song I wrote it from my perspective. I wrote the song imagining oil bottle and pickle. It should have been written as bottle lift but I used the word bottle at the end. I did that because I wanted to be curious about the song. But people have understood it differently. Some people are using this time to attack me. They are making videos for likes and comments, wish them well’ said Prem.

‘I haven’t written mean songs so far, I don’t want to. The meaning of what I wrote was different. I have said this in front of the media before. But some people who heard the song may be hurt, did Prem do this? Prem e Tharana? It might seem. Literature has to be written in every way. But I didn’t write in obscene sense. I apologize if I upset you. You rewrite the song, write it differently and upload it again, you don’t want to get hurt’ said Prem.

There was confusion about the Hindi version of the song. I didn’t like some of the Hindi words. But I did not ask because of the language problem. But Rati Balam, who wrote the Hindi song, put all the blame on me. Actually he wrote my previous hit songs from Kannada to Hindi. But they didn’t reconcile, they put all the blame on me, maybe out of fear they put it on me’ said Prem.

Prem also spoke about actress Nora Fatehi’s statement and said, ‘Nora Fatehi’s speech is wrong. He knew literature. No actor acts without knowing the lyrics, how can the expression come without knowing the lyrics? He should not have spoken like that. He did so to escape from the controversy that is happening now. feels like Even in a recent audio program he had good words about me about the song. But now he is talking like this. Anyway, I will rewrite the song. You will upload it again’ said Prem.
