Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie ‘Dhuandhar 2’ (Dhuandhar 2) is creating history by making more than 800 crore rupees worldwide in just six days of its release. This movie has already broken the records of ‘Jawan’, ‘Pushpa 2’ and some other movies. Cinemas are showing great performances, not only on weekends, but also on weekdays, the shows are filling up. This movie which is buzzing in theaters is almost sure to do big magic in OTT as well. So who has the OTT rights of the movie?
Netflix had earlier bought the rights of the first part of ‘Dhurandhar’ which was released in 2025. It was said that the second part will also be shared by Netflix. But not like that, the second part of the movie is on Jio Hotstar instead of Netflix. Jio Hotstar has bagged the rights of the movie ‘Dhurandhar 2’ by making a huge offer.
According to sources, Jio Hotstar is said to have paid around Rs 150 crore for the digital rights of the film. It is said to be almost twice the amount that Netflix paid for the first episode. Netflix was initially interested in buying both parts together. But the production house Jio Studios, which was banking on the success of the film, signed a huge deal for the second part separately. As of now, the movie is running successfully in theaters, so the OTT release date has not been officially announced by the film team. Now the TV rights of the movie belong to Star Corporation.

The movie is likely to hit OTT after 8 weeks of its theatrical release i.e. late May or early June 2026. The movie will be streaming not only in Hindi but also in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Movies can be watched on Jio Hotstar without any additional charges.
