The movie was supposed to release on March 19. Only Bollywood’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which is set to release on the same day, has not changed its release date. The team of ‘Toxic’ took this decision with just two weeks left for the release. The conflict between Iran, Israel and America has created uncertainty in the Middle East. Gulf countries including Dubai are a big market for Indian movies, and the current situation there is likely to give a huge blow to the collection of the movie. In this background, as a precautionary measure, the film has been postponed to June.

Last February, the United States and Israel launched a joint missile attack on Iran, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran also attacked US and Israeli bases. Airports are currently closed in Gulf countries and tourists are being evacuated. According to experts, it is not appropriate to release the movie in such a situation.

Although ‘Toxic’, which was supposed to be released on March 19, has been pushed back, there is no change in the release date of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, the production company ‘Jio Studios’ has clarified. There is a reason for this. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is not releasing in Gulf countries. In the movie ‘Dhurandhar’ which was released last year, six Gulf countries including UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar had banned the film because Pakistan was depicted as a place of terrorism.
