Actor and ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam’ in relation to the horrific stampede case in Karur, Tamil Nadu (TVK) Central Investigation Department to founder Dalpati Vijay (CBI) Summons issued. DMK MLA Senthil Balaji has also been directed to attend the hearing on March 17 in the same case. Dalpati Vijay to appear for trial on March 15 in Delhi (Thalapathy Vijay) He has been summoned.
Vijay has been directed to appear for questioning at the CBI headquarters in Delhi on March 15. Earlier, a notice to appear was issued on March 10. However, due to political events, Vijay had asked for 15 days. Also, he requested to conduct the inquiry in any office in Chennai or Tamil Nadu instead of Delhi.
CBI is likely to review Vijay’s plea and fix new dates. On the other hand, Karur MLA Senthil Balaji has been summoned to appear on March 17. He tweeted about this and said, ‘Amidst the confusing reports circulating in the media, as per the summons issued by the CBI, I am going to appear in person on March 17 and give the necessary explanations.’
What is Karuru stampede case?
Last year on September 27, a massive stampede took place at Karur during a massive political convention organized by Vijay’s TVK party. 41 people lost their lives and more than 60 were injured in this tragedy. This incident created a stir in Tamil Nadu politics.

Earlier, the CBI had already interrogated Vijay twice on January 12 and 19. Considering the seriousness of the case, the investigating agency has now decided to conduct another inquiry.
