A horrific road accident has occurred in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Three people died when two tankers, an auto rickshaw and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) collided at Panambur intersection on Saturday morning. Police gave this information on Saturday.
This is how this accident happened
According to the police, the accident occurred when a gas tanker coming from Mulki to Mangaluru suddenly stopped while trying to save a cow that had come on the road. Initial reports said that the auto rickshaw coming behind the tanker and a car following it somehow stopped in time.
Death of people traveling in auto
Soon, another tanker coming at high speed behind these vehicles collided with the SUV due to brake failure. The impact of the collision also affected the auto rickshaw and in this accident the auto rickshaw driver and two passengers in it died on the spot. Three people have died in this accident.
SUV and tanker drivers remain safe
The process of identification of the dead is going on. However, the drivers of the SUV and the tanker survived safely in the accident.
